Gerando vida em contexto de morte: o exercício materno em situações demilitância durante a Ditadura Militar no Brasil (1964-1985) / Creating life in the context of death: the maternal exercise in militancy situations during the Military Dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985)

Este trabalho objetiva compreender a experiência de maternidade de mulheres que militaram durante o período da Ditadura Militar no Brasil (1964-1985). Foram realizadas quatroentrevistas com mulheres que estiveram grávidas e conceberam seus filhos no período de militância, durante a clandestinidade, prisão, exílio e pós-soltura. Para a organização e interpretação dos dados, realizamos análise de conteúdo temática. Os resultados e a discussão foram organizados em torno de duas grandes categorias: Maternidade e Militância: compreendendo as tensões entre o individual e o coletivo e Nascendo nos porões da ditadura: gerando vida em um contexto de morte. This work's aim is to comprehend the maternity experience of women who militated during the period of the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). Four interviews were carried outwith women who were pregnant and gave birth to their children in the period of militancy, during clandestinely, prison, exile and amnesty. For the organization and interpretation of data, we accomplished thematic content analysis. The results and the discussion were organized around two broad categories: Maternity and militancy: understanding the tensions between the individual and the collective; and Being born in the dictatorship basements: creating life in the context of death.Though experiencing a context in which death was a prominent risk, maternity contributed to the preservation of their lives, however, it did not prevent these women, despite being pregnant, fromsuffering physical, sexual and psychological tortures as well as threats on the continuity of their pregnancy and on the permanence of their children with them...

Representações sociais de "ser mulher militante": as imbricações entre geração e gênero na trajetória de militância de mulheres durante a ditadura militar brasileira / Social representations of "being a militant woman": the imbrications between generation and gender in women's militancy trajectory during the Brazilian military dictatorship

Durante a ditadura militar (1964-1985), o Brasil presenciou um período de intensa repressão política e social. Os grupos opositores ao regime eram compostos majoritariamente por homens, mas a participação feminina não pode ser desconsiderada. Este trabalho buscou investigar elementos relacionados à representação de "ser mulher militante" no período, procurando compreender as repercussões das hierarquias de gênero presentes nesses espaços. Assim, foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas com ex-militantes. As informações foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo, que evidenciaram as categorias temáticas: Entre novos e velhos militantes: negociando diferenças de geração e gênero; Atributos do "bom militante": liderança, intelectualidade e modelo de conduta; e, Ser mulher militante: entre a manutenção e a ocupação de novos espaços. Ao investigar as representações sociais de "ser mulher militante" e compreender as relações sociais e de gênero comuns às organizações esquerdistas, este trabalho oferece elementos para a compreensão de aspectos ainda pouco explorados sobre a ditadura militar.(AU)

During the military dictatorship (1964-1985), Brazil witnessed a period of intense social and political repression. Groups that opposed the regime were composed mostly by men, but female participation cannot be disregarded. This work sought to investigate elements related to the representation of "being a militant woman" in the period, aiming to comprehend the repercussions of gender hierarchies in those spaces. Thus, semistructured interviews were conducted with ex-militants. The data from the interviews were submitted to content analysis, which revealed the following thematic categories: Between young and old militants: negotiating differences of gender and generation; The attributes of a good militant: leading and being a role model and an intelectual; and, Being a militant woman: between the conservation and the occupation of new spaces. By investigating the social representations of "being a militant woman" and understanding the social and gender relations common to the leftist organizations, this work offers elements to the comprehension of aspects yet to be fully explored about the military dictatorship.(AU)

Promessas de vida em tempos de ameaça: mulheres, música e resistência durante a ditadura militar no Brasil / Promises of life in times of threat: women, music and resistance during the military dictatorship in Brazil

Esta investigação apresenta a temática da ditadura militar brasileira (1964-1985), focalizando as experiências de prisão e tortura de ex-presas políticas durante o regime, integrando um conjunto mais amplo de pesquisas que exploram o tema neste período histórico específico. A pesquisa proposta parte do relato de cinco entrevistadas, privilegiando trechos que elucidam o papel da música na trajetória de resistência das militantes. Por meio de análise de conteúdo das informações, revelaram-se as seguintes categorias: a música como arte e militância; estratégia de integridade física, psicológica e moral; coesão grupal e expressão de afeto. A discussão temática é perpassada por elementos conceituais do campo de análise da memória psicossocial e da teoria de identidade social. Os resultados apontaram a importância que as atividades culturais tiveram como veículo de crítica e resistência ao autoritarismo, tornando-se importante modo de enfrentamento da experiência de prisão e tortura.(AU)

This investigation presents the theme of the Brazilian military dictatorship (1964-1985), focusing on the experiences of prison and torture undergone by ex-female political prisoners during the time of such regime, and also encompassing a wider body of research that explores the theme at this particular historical period. From the accounts given by five interviewees, there has been made a clipping that privileged fragments that portray the role of music in this activist women?s journey of resistance. By analyzing the content of the pieces of information, the following categories have stood out: music as a form of art and militancy; as a strategy to preserve physical, psychological and group integrity; as an expression of affection and group cohesiveness. The thematic discussion is colored by conceptual elements from the field that analyzes psychosocial memory and the social identity theory. The results have pointed to the importance of cultural activities as an approach to critical opposition and resistance to authoritarianism, and to the fact that they became an important way of facing the experiences of prison and torture.(AU)
